A family owned dining lounge is looking for a line cook to work at its location on 260 Hearst Way, Kanata, Ontario, on a full-time, temporary, non-seasonal, /2/ TWO years' contract, and perform the following duties:

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
• Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers.
• Oversee kitchen operations.
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
• May set up and oversee buffets.
• May clean kitchen and work area.
• May plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies.
• May hire and train kitchen staff.

3+ years of experience in the field of cooking and commercial kitchens is required, Education in the field of cooking is an asset.

Salary: $26.5/h for /40/ hours per week and overtime starts after /40/ hours per week at the rate of $39.75/h.

Schedule: /5/ days per week and two days off to be chosen with the supervisor.

Vacation: 10 days off per year or 4%

Languages : English is a must, French is an asset.
